2025 First Quarter Enzyme Immunoassay Analyzer Bidding Results Ranking
Enzyme Immunoassay Analyzer (ELISA Reader), also known as microplate reader, is an essential analytical instrument in modern biomedical research and clinical laboratory testing. It is primarily used for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). By detecting the optical signals generated from enzymatic reactions, it can quantitatively analyze specific substances in samples, widely applied in disease diagnosis, tumor marker detection, food safety evaluation, drug development, and many other fields. In recent years, microplate reader technology has developed rapidly. Not only features multi-wavelength detection and automation capabilities but also enhances detection efficiency and user experience through intelligent design. Its performance and application scenarios have been greatly expanded, leading to continuous growth in market demand.
In the first quarter of 2025, the microplate reader market showed active performance, with a total of 285 unit win the bid, total amount exceeding 60 million yuan, and nearly 80 models from 34 brands were selected.
In terms of quantity, the education sector topped the list with 108 winning bids, followed closely by disease control centers with 87 bids. The medical sector ranked third with 54 winning bids. Among the education sector, all institutions except one middle school were higher education institutions. The medical sector included hospitals, health care centers, and blood banks. Together, these three sectors accounted for 87% of the total winning bids, reflecting the high demand for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) readers in medical and health care, as well as education fields. Government agencies, research institutions, and other sectors also had some procurement, but on a relatively smaller scale, with 21, 13, and 2 sets respectively.
In terms of the number of winning bids on brands, Heales took the lead with 70 winning bids, accounting for nearly 25% of the market share. This advantage mainly benefited from large-scale procurement by the Xinjiang Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Following closely behind were Molecular, Tecan, and Thermo Fisher, ranking second to fourth with 29, 25, and 20 winning bids respectively. These three imported brands collectively accounted for 26% of the market share. In addition, brands such as Allsheng, Rayto, Yomim, and Agilent also achieved good bidding results. Overall, imported brands such as Molecular, Tecan, and Thermo Fisher still occupy the forefront of the market, but domestic brands are gradually expanding their market share by leveraging cost-effectiveness and service advantages.
The microplate reader market demonstrated vigorous vitality and dynamism in the first quarter of 2025, fully highlighting the strong demand for ELISA readers across various industries. Looking ahead, with continuous advancements in biomedical technology and rising requirements for detection accuracy and efficiency across industries, the ELISA reader market is bound to witness more intense competition and broader development opportunities. Only by continuously innovating and optimizing product performance and service quality can various brands establish a solid footing in this market, achieve steady and long-term development, and continuously drive industry progress, thereby injecting continuous momentum into the development of numerous fields such as scientific research and healthcare.
