Micro-spectrophotometer Application
Micro-spectrophotometer is a highly reproducible full-wavelength spectrophotometer that uses both pedestal and cuvette detection modes. Rapid and accurate detection of nucleic acids, proteins and cellular solutions. The sample detection concentration range is large and the operation is simple. It not only can be used to measure DNA, RNA purity and concentration, but also can be used for general substance analysis absorbance detection.

  • Quantitative analysis of DNA and RNA
    The micro-spectrophotometer calculates the concentration of nucleic acid in the sample by measuring the light absorption value (OD value) at 260nm, and calculates the ratio of absorbance at 260nm and 280nm to determine the content of protein/hydrolyzed salt impurities in the sample.
  • Quantitative analysis of protein
    The micro-spectrophotometer calculates the concentration of protein (or hydrolyzed polypeptide molecules) in the sample by measuring the value of light absorption (OD value) at 280nm (or 205nm). The instrument has built-in standard curves for globulins, antibody proteins, and enzymes.
  • OD600 bacterial solution detection
    The OD600 mode uses a 1cm glass cuvette with a conventional capacity of 1.5-4mL.
  • UV-Vis
    The optical range of this instrument is 190-850nm, 1nm step, UV-Vis mode can be used for spectral scanning of samples.
